Who is this fox?
Hello! I’m Patricia (Fox) – welcome to Fox Threads! I’m obsessed with sewing and am slowly working my way towards a (mostly) handmade wardrobe. My sewing journey really began in the summer of 2014 when my 2 ½ year-old needed a costume for his preschool’s Costume Days. He wanted to be blue. I bought a cheap sewing machine, made him a blue cape, and I was hooked!
I live in San Francisco with my husband (aka “Mr. Fox Threads”), our son (aka “The Boy”), and an orange cat (aka “The Cat”). I am an environmental scientist by day. When I’m not sewing or working, I am hiking and camping and generally enjoying the outdoors with my family, listening to great music, and occasionally curling up on the couch with a good book.
I love seeing and reading about what other people are making. This blog is a fun way for me to record my sewing projects and what I learn along the way, and to share them with the sewing community. I hope you enjoy reading it!you can also find me on pinterest, flickr, and instagram (@foxthreads)

A note on links.
I often include links in my blog posts to patterns, fabric stores, and other blogs. I do this to give creative credit to pattern designers and other sewers, to help my readers find the products I’m using and talking about, and to provide inspiration and resources that I found useful when sewing something. I don’t use affiliate links, nor do I write sponsored posts. Or make any money whatsoever from this blog, for that matter. Just so you know.
